Mobile phones or other electronic equipment are not to be used in school. If mobile phones are seen in school, they will be confiscated immediately and only returned when parents/carers collect them. If students need to make a phone call at the end of the day they can do so from the school phone in the student reception.

We have no longer made it mandatory for the child to be with the parent/carer when mobile phones are collected following confiscation for logistical reasons with families travelling in the current climate.

Heads of Year and Deputy Heads of Year are authorised to return phones at the end of the school day. If this became a regular occurrence with a student then a discussion with parent/carers and student would be necessary and a member of the Senior Leadership Team would arrange and conduct this.
