The Curriculum

CURRICULUM INTENT:

To create a personalised curriculum that promotes a love of learning; provides breadth of knowledge and skills; that is enriching and supportive and seeks to bridge the cultural knowledge gap in order to provide a platform for our students to succeed in whatever they aspire to do.

We believe in a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum approach in which students study a full range of traditional subjects throughout this key stage.

Key Stage 3

Students at Key Stage 3 are in Years 7, 8 and 9

Subjects taught include:

  • Humanities (Geography and History)
  • Languages (French or Spanish)

  • Creative Arts (Drama, Music, Art)
  • Physical Education
  • Personal, Religious and Social Studies

Students in Year 9 will be able to personalise their curriculum further via The Elective Curriculum.

At the end of Year 9, Students will also select their GCSE options subjects in preparation for starting their GCSEs in Year 10.

Students at Key Stage 4 are in Years 10 and 11.
