Business Partners

As a school with Business & Enterprise specialism, we have built many fruitful partnerships. We work with the Haringey Business Education Partnership to deliver our work experience programme and business mentoring for students within the business studies curriculum. These are local organisations such as The Berni Grant Arts Centre and Blooming Scent. We deliver work related learning and enterprise education through drop-down days and across the curriculum, using a number of agencies and organisations such as Business into Education. Enterprise activities also form part of the extended schools programme, which includes an active Eco-Group and Community Action Club, focussing on fund raising and school banking through the MyBnk organisation.
We have also developed partnership working across the curriculum. Individual subject areas organise Aim Higher activities through visits to our links colleges and universities. In addition, the curriculum is enhanced by key themes relevant to the subject. For instance, Geography might develop a scheme of work on sustainable development. We have mapped the delivery of work-related learning, financial literacy and careers education within the PSHRE curriculum and there are a number of partners involved with delivery of topics in the schemes of work. Marks and Spencer, Morrisons and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have formed the key focus for some Business Studies coursework and we are developing a link with Cadbury World as one focus this year in Year 10.
